Lyman Alpha is a Physics Based First Person Platformer, where players have the amazing ability to change the direction of gravity to virtually any direction, in order to complete puzzles.

You control ALFIE, as he tests the latest in experimental physics technology, the G.M.D. (Gravity Manipulation Device). As the game progresses, the puzzles become more difficult, as more challenges, obstacles, and dangers appear.

Technical Support

Below is a list of the most common Technical Support Issues we’ve received regarding Lyman Alpha.

Please note that most problems can be fixed by upgrading to the latest version of DirectX and updating your Graphics Card Drivers.

When I try to run the game, I get an error message that states: “Runtime Error #### – Could not load image/sound/object/music at line ####”.

Try running the game as Administrator. Right click on the game’s Icon, and select Run as Administrator.
Lyman Alpha doesn’t usually require Administrative rights to install or play, but should you receive this error, even if you are logged in as an Administrator, the above instructions should be sufficient to make the game work.

When I try to run the game, I get an error message that states: “d3dx9_31.dll is missing”.
Try re-installing/updating DirectX to the latest version.

When I play the game, it crashes with an error message that begins with: “#x####”.
Simply follow the instructions on the error message. This usually occurs when a required file is missing or corrupt, in which case, re-install the game.

The game crashes saying it can’t load sprite/image/model/sound/music/map at line #####
You must run Lyman Alpha as an Administrator, with Read/Write permissions to the game’s root folder, otherwise the game will not run.

My configuration or save data isn’t being kept.
